IvyWise, a leading educational consulting firm headquartered in New York City with clients around the world, is seeking an Office Assistant. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, self-starter to get hands-on experience with marketing, business development and college admissions. He or she will work closely with IvyWise staff to maintain office operations and will also assist with marketing, sales and research projects to promote the company`s core functions. This position requires approximately 30 hours per week. Pay is hourly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains office operations, including filing, database maintenance, and correspondence
• Provides administrative support to CEO and other team members as needed
• Conducts research for team members
• Assists marketing, sales and counseling team members with projects
• Administrative duties include: answering phones and providing information to clients and potential clients, ordering supplies for office, other duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors degree from a four-year institution
• Minimum 1-2 years of prior work experience
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal/communication and project management skills
• Must be detail-oriented with strong customer service skills
• Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Must be able to work effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment and to use initiative to resolve conflicts
• Must maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
• Interest in education a plus
